yes. as you said we could use header filter plugin to remove Etag header from responses. but i'd like simpler way instead of setting the plugin up just for that.

any other idea?

I think you could use the header filter[1] to strip the etag from the response in read_response_headers.

Hi everyone.

As you know, the values of ETag are different depending on origin server even though contents are same.

Etag is also saved with content when trafficserver caches it. right? So trafficserver caches same contents again when its Etag is different. right?

is there any simple way to force trafficeserver not to save Etag when it caches a content?
