Yes, it is sticky.  So I am not so much submitting this issue because it is a problem for
me (although I do have to remember to set it when I create a new workspace), I'm submitting
it because I feel that users in general would be better off if the default were not to generate
the JCas classes when you save an Analysis Engine Descriptor.

maybe.)  Our AE descriptors change far more frequently than our type system does, and it is
disruptive to have all the type system classes regenerated all the time.  My guess would be
that most other people are also in this situation.
