Subject [jira] [Commented] (UIMA-2449) Initialization of Strings
Date Wed, 01 Aug 2012 13:33:03 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-2449?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13426605#comment-13426605

Peter Klügl commented on UIMA-2449:

The wiki documentation is unfortunately outdated as it refers to the old SourceForge project
and the new documentation is not yet released. The description of conditions and actions in
the sandbox (uima-docbook-textmarker) is quite correct now. It (also) says: ASSIGN(StringVariable,StringExpression)

If you like I can build the documentation and send it to you.

> Hi Peter,
> I coudln't find out how to initialize StringVariables. In the following code, the variable
brandStr should be reset to "" for each loop iteration, but that's not the case.
> BLOCK(forEach) Car{}{
>     STRING brandStr;
>     Brand{->MATCHEDTEXT(brandStr)};
> }
> How to fix that?
> All the best
> Philipp
