Hi Philipp,

you can send normal questions to the user list (user@uima.apache.org) and do not have to create
a bug report. 

You can initialize string variables with: STRING brandStr = "BMW";
and you can reset the string variable with Document{-> ASSIGN(brandStr, "")};
