Subject [jira] [Created] (UIMA-3239) UNMARK in Ruta should only remove matched annotation by default
Date Mon, 02 Sep 2013 11:01:51 GMT
Peter Klügl created UIMA-3239:
---------------------------------

             Summary: UNMARK in Ruta should only remove matched annotation by default
                 Key: UIMA-3239
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-3239
             Project: UIMA
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: ruta
    Affects Versions: 2.0.1ruta
            Reporter: Peter Klügl
            Assignee: Peter Klügl
             Fix For: 2.1.0ruta

The UNMARK action in Ruta should only remove the matched annotation by default. The problem
is that two annotations with the same offset and type cannot be reduced to only one. Example:

{noformat}
T{CONTAINS(T,2,100) -> UNMARK(T)};
{noformat}

This rule removes all T annotations with the same offset with the first apply of the rule.

If the matched annotation (e.g., something greedy was applied) is not of the type given by
the argument, then use the current strategy with the begin acnhors.
