Subject Re: [VOTE] Release UIMA-DUCC 1.0.0 RC3
Date Thu, 02 Jan 2014 16:12:57 GMT
 - Downloaded the binary package for testing
 - Was surprised that the installation info was only in PDF format;
   would be nice if an html version was also available
 - Did the single user install and test; no problems
 - Did the multi user install and test; no problems, but
   there were instructions to build ducc_ling even though it
   had already been built in the ducc post install step
 - Went to "getting started" web page referenced by README,
   which pointed at the sample applications, although not as clearly as it
should
 - Went to chapter 9 in duccbook and tried to follow directions to
   "Set up a Working Directory"; first step failed, as many sampleapps
   components have broken paths:
    - in uima-ducc-examples-1.0.0.jar, all .class and .xml files
    - in ducc_runtime/examples/descriptors, all sampleapps components

-1 to release because of broken sample applications.
