Good idea...   I'm thinking of sticking with alphaNNN for a while...  unless for
some reason we don't release for a month...

I'd like to release multiple alpha versions more quickly :-).

See other note about renaming the Jira version from 3.0.0SDK-beta to
3.0.0SDK-alpha2.
