looks like a good patch.  The right file to patch is in the uimaj-tools project, /src/main/javajet/jcasget/templates/JCasType.javajet.

I'll take a crack at adding the patch you did to that file, and then regenerating the other
class.

I think the generated class should include a header comment stating it is generated, base
on the javajet class :) .
