It is case sensitive except in the case of get methods, you can make
the first letter after "get" upper or lower case when you use the
shortcut.

public String getLastUpdate()

can be rendered as
   $this.lastUpdate
   $this.LastUpdate
   $this.getLastUpdate().

Note that it is only forgiving of the first letter after "get".
