Subject Problem with Whirr 0.7.1, Apache Hadoop 1.0.2, and HBase
Date Wed, 04 Jul 2012 01:07:37 GMT
Hi,

I'm getting errors when trying to create a ec2 cluster using whirr 0.7.1,
Apache Hadoop 1.0.2 and HBase. Below is my script:

whirr.cluster-name=hadoop-ec2-ah102
whirr.instance-templates=1
zookeeper+hadoop-namenode+hadoop-jobtracker+hbase-master,2
hadoop-datanode+hadoop-tasktracker+hbase-regionserver
whirr.java.install-function=install_oab_java
whirr.provider=aws-ec2
whirr.identity=${env:AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID}
whirr.credential=${env:AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY}
whirr.hardware-id=m1.large
whirr.image-id=us-east-1/ami-49e32320
whirr.location-id=us-east-1
whirr.hadoop.version=1.0.2
whirr.hbase.tarball.url=
http://apache.cu.be/hbase/hbase-0.90.6/hbase-0.90.6.tar.gz

Here is the error I am getting:

Successfully executed configure script: [output=This function does nothing.
It just needs to exist so Statements.call("retry_helpers") doesn't call

I've also tried this script without specifying the HBASE tar ball, and the
errors are basically the same. Any ideas?

Thanks

David
