Subject [jira] Updated: (MUSE-144) add methods to SimpleSoapClient for setting headers on the SOAP request
Date Wed, 08 Nov 2006 20:40:51 GMT
     [ ]

Dan Jemiolo updated MUSE-144:

        Fix Version/s: 2.1.0
    Affects Version/s: 2.0.0
                           (was: 2.1.0)

(mistakenly posted on another issue - sorry)

I've updated SoapClient and SimpleSoapClient by adding another version of send() that can
take a set of extra SOAP headers. I then added another version of AbstractResourceClient.invoke()
that could do the same, so that client authors could pass the non-WSA headers via invoke()
and not have to deal with the SoapClient directly. No code breakage.

This will be committed for 2.1.

> It would be nice to be able to set custom SOAP headers on requests genereated by SimpleSoapClient,
as some web services may want to set certain applciation specific SOAP headers on requests.
> The alternative for users would be to extend AbstractResourceClient and add methods for
including soap headers themselves.
