The servlet API supports this.

On your XML-RPC server, you are most likely deriving
from XmlRpcServlet (see
http://ws.apache.org/xmlrpc/apidocs/org/apache/xmlrpc/webserver/XmlRpcServlet.html
)
which has a parameter pRequest which is of type
javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest, which has a
method getRemoteAddr(), which returns the client's IP.
