HTTP child process dies for certain requests made from a TELNET application.
The following was the steps to generate a request: 
telnet machine_name 80
GET /

In the above examplet the root index file is fetched with GET request from
the HTTP server running on machine_name at port 80.  The following requests
crash the HTTP server:
\GET /
GET\ /
GET<junk control sequences> /
GE
