SunOS <machine-name> 5.4 generic sun4m sparc with solaris 2.4
Without any predicition apache stops creating new child processes 
but the main process and the existing processes remain. Apache is also
acception no connection. After waitng a while (between a fewn minutes until 2 hours)
all things work as nothing had ever been. 
no way found to repeat this problem
no idea, very desperate
