Windows 98 (NOT TESTED ON NT)
Apache -S  (that's a capital S) 
Documentation states: 
Show the settings as parsed from the config file (currently only shows a breakdown of the
vhost settings) but do not start the server. (Up to Apache 1.3.3, this option also started
the server). 

 -- Bug: does start the server in Win 98.

Apache -s (small s)
starts the server (as expected for Win32) without
the info about vhost settings (also as expected)
at Dos prompt, type:
Apache -S   ###capital S ####
(in a win95/98 environment)

[to include <apbugs@Apache.Org> in the Cc line and make sure the]
[subject line starts with the report component and number, with ]
[or without any 'Re:' prefixes (such as "general/1098:" or      ]
["Re: general/1098:").  If the subject doesn't match this       ]

["apbugs" address is not added to the Cc line of messages from  ]
[the database automatically because of the potential for mail   ]

[developer.  Reply only with text; DO NOT SEND ATTACHMENTS!     ]
