I forgot to mention that the documents are added using the "-l" flag.

Another interesting behavior is that any documents added to a collection while the Jetty
server is up, can only be retrieved using the Web interface after the Jetty server is restarted....

I finally downloaded 1.1b from CVS, built it, started it with "xindice start", then I'm
able to get a list of collections pointing the browser to the following URL:

    http://localhost:8888/Xindice?/db

But when I try to use the command line "xindice", I have no luck:

    xindice lc -c http://localhost:8888/Xindice?/db

I keep getting an error like "ERROR : The name of a collection must start with '/' "...

    I tried also:

    xindice lc -c http://localhost:8888/Xindice/db

    and:

    xindice lc -u http://localhost:8888/Xindice -c /db

    But nothing works.

I tried to go search through the mail archives, but no clear answer is given in terms
of how to make this thing work.
The best was "take a look at the source code...".

I can only make it work with the "-l" switch.

But any collections that I add with the "-l" swtich disappear when the Jetty server Xindice
was running on is shut down. No, they don't reappear if the server is restarted...

As posted before, has anyone used 1.1b successfully?

Is the Xindice project moving on?

    Thanks,

    jlerm
