Ian,
if  there are more than one <Name> elements and all of them are handled by a
single blockinside a template that is called recursively, then how will i
set the id for that block?

Where "samsdetails" is ID on the <fo:block (or whatever) that contains
Sam's details.

You could also add the page number by using:
on page <fo:page-number-citation ref-id="samsdetails"/>

Hi,

I've an xml like this.

<phonebook author="paul"  id="1234">
<Name  firstName="sam">
<address number ="10"  street="whites lane"/>
  </Name>
</phonebook>

In my output pdf file, under index, i've something  like this

paul 1234
  sam
  ----

I want a the pdf to be such that, when i click on  'sam', then the control
should go to the page containing sam'z  details.
How is this done in  <fo:basic-link>?
