Subject [Bug 45615] "Large Files not supported" with 64-bit build
Date Tue, 10 Jan 2017 09:21:31 GMT

--- Comment #6 from Rainer Jung <rainer.jung@kippdata.de> ---
The APR "make check" runs about 8 minutes on a Solaris 10 Sparc Sun Fire V240
(SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIIi with 1,2 GHz) when compiled with gcc. I do not have times
available for Niagara nor do I know times for the Studio compiler, but IMHO if
it varies by more than a factor of 2 something is wrong.

You can run the make check, wait until the output doesn't make any more
progress and then run a couple of "pstack" commands to collect the stacks the
code is in. Also look at "prstat" to check, whether the code consumes CPU.
Finally you can run "truss -f -v all -w all -r all -o /path/to/my/OUTPUTFILE -p
PID" against the actual test binary.
