Subject [jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-2544) build produces unneeded/confusing checksum files
Date Tue, 26 Apr 2011 13:30:03 GMT

Stephen Connolly commented on CASSANDRA-2544:

It is the crazy world of the Repository that we are deploying into that the verification rules
require these extra md5 checksums!

If you want I can have them deleted from the local machine after deployment.

However they are required to be deployed to the repository.

I will wait for your response before resolving "Will not fix" ;-)

> The artifacts recently created for 0.7.5 (vote pending), have checksum files generated
for the signatures (apache-cassandra-0.7.5-bin.tar.gz.asc.md5, apache-cassandra-0.7.5-bin.tar.gz.asc.sha1,
apache-cassandra-0.7.5-src.tar.gz.asc.md5, and apache-cassandra-0.7.5-src.tar.gz.asc.sha1).
 These should be removed.
