Subject [jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-13111) Unsupported unset value for column
Date Mon, 16 Jan 2017 09:26:26 GMT

Benjamin Lerer commented on CASSANDRA-13111:
--------------------------------------------

{{Unset}} is not supported on column restrictions in the {{SELECT}} statement {{WHERE}} clause.

I tested it on 3.9 with a java driver:
*  {{SELECT * FROM test_table WHERE pkey1 = ? AND pkey2 = ? AND pkey3 = ? AND ccol1 = ? AND
col = ? ALLOW FILTERING;}} is rejected with the error message: {{Invalid unset value for column
pkey1}}
* {{SELECT * FROM test_table WHERE col = ? ALLOW FILTERING;}} is rejected with the error message:
{{Invalid unset value for column col}}

As it is the indended behavior, I am closing this ticket as cannot reproduce.

>                 Key: CASSANDRA-13111
>                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-13111
>             Project: Cassandra
>          Issue Type: Bug
>          Components: CQL
>         Environment: Ubuntu 16.04
>            Reporter: Alexander Nabatchikov
>            Assignee: Benjamin Lerer
>            Priority: Minor
>
> I have table like this:
> create table test_table
> (
> 	pkey1 int,
> 	pkey2 int,
> 	pkey3 int,
> 	ccol1 int,
> 	ccol2 int,
> 	col int,
>         PRIMARY KEY ((pkey1,pkey2,pkey3), ccol1, ccol2)
> );
> And this CQL won't work:
> SELECT * FROM test_table WHERE pkey1 = ? AND pkey2 = ? AND pkey3 = ? AND ccol1 = ? AND
col = ? ALLOW FILTERING;
> It throws message: Unsupported unset value for column col.
> But if execute just: "SELECT * FROM test_table WHERE col = ? ALLOW FILTERING;" all is
OK.
> P.S reproduces only with prepared statements
