Subject [jira] [Commented] (CAY-2052) cayenne clean build is failing
Date Fri, 22 Jan 2016 07:03:39 GMT

Andrus Adamchik commented on CAY-2052:
--------------------------------------

The reason is https://github.com/apache/cayenne/blob/master/docs/doc/pom.xml has two plugin
declarations explicitly bound to earlier phases:

dependency-maven-plugin to generate-sources
maven-javadoc-plugin to generate-resources

Per https://maven.apache.org/guides/introduction/introduction-to-the-lifecycle.html ideally
all this should execute in a "site" lifecycle, which won't conflict with default lifecycle
and "test". Though I guess we 've done the above for a reason (including javadocs in assemblies??)...
Will need to test that and update build instructions if needed.
