Subject [users@httpd] Crash of Apache 2
Date Tue, 02 Sep 2003 13:59:18 GMT
Hello. I've got this lines in my error_log:

[Tue Sep 02 14:43:25 2003] [crit] the listener thread didn't exit
[Tue Sep 02 14:44:04 2003] [alert] (11)Resource temporarily unavailable:
apr_thread_create: unable to create worker thread
[Tue Sep 02 14:44:05 2003] [crit] the listener thread didn't exit
[Tue Sep 02 14:44:06 2003] [error] (11)Resource temporarily unavailable:
fork: Unable to fork new process
[Tue Sep 02 14:44:16 2003] [alert] Child 29154 returned a Fatal error...
Apache is exiting!
[Tue Sep 02 14:44:16 2003] [warn] child process 10801 still did not
exit, sending a SIGTERM

[ continuing with hundreds of SIGTERM (exactly 255) ]

[Tue Sep 02 14:44:22 2003] [error] child process 10801 still did not
exit, sending a SIGKILL

[ continuing with dozen of SIGKILL ]

End of log, next entry is restart.

Site was under relative load (300req/s), system load was low (<1). As
this servers have mod_wl_20.so (for weblogic :/ ), and as the weblogic
as hang before the Apache, I guess my problem is related with awaiting
Apache threads, or something like that.

Does anyone have a better explication?

Regards.
