Subject [jira] [Created] (OAK-8462) Adding / changing "useIfExists" should not cause reindex
Date Fri, 05 Jul 2019 13:55:00 GMT
Thomas Mueller created OAK-8462:
-----------------------------------

Summary: Adding / changing "useIfExists" should not cause reindex
                 Key: OAK-8462
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-8462
             Project: Jackrabbit Oak
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: lucene
            Reporter: Thomas Mueller

Currently, when using the Lucene IndexDefinitionBuilder (org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.plugins.index.lucene.util),
changes to the setting "useIfExists" cause a reindex. This shouldn't happen; only refresh
needs to be set. This is the same as for other properties that only affect queries, and not
indexing, like index tags.
