Subject [jira] Commented: (MECLIPSE-156) Plugin should support setting file encoding

Ralph Poellath commented on MECLIPSE-156:
-----------------------------------------

All my files under version conrol need to be UTF-8 encoded. Whenever I create a new Eclipse
workspace, I have to manually switch the encoding from platform default to UTF-8. Since I
generate all Eclipse project files using the Maven Eclipse plugin already, I could use this
functionality to work around the real problem (that Eclipse won't let me override the default
for new workspaces).

For me, this would not create additional complexity in the POM, because I have to configure
the Maven Eclipse plugin anyway.
