Subject [jira] [Commented] (SPARK-2010) Support for nested data in PySpark SQL

Nicholas Chammas commented on SPARK-2010:
-----------------------------------------

I just tried this on {{master}}:

{code}
>>> from pyspark.sql import SQLContext
>>> sqlContext = SQLContext(sc)
>>> a = sc.parallelize([{'d': 4}, {'d': 10}])
>>> sqlContext.inferSchema(a)
.../python/pyspark/sql.py:1017: UserWarning: Using RDD of dict to inferSchema is deprecated
  warnings.warn("Using RDD of dict to inferSchema is deprecated")
MapPartitionsRDD[9] at mapPartitions at SchemaRDD.scala:408
{code}

Is this warning a hint at the work described in this JIRA issue? If so, what is the new way
of converting an RDD of Python dictionaries to a SchemaRDD?
