There is a pull request for this issue: <https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/1351>

It did not make it to Spark 1.1, due to last minute API changes. It will make it to the next
release. The API will provide a very easy (default) way of reading common CSV (e.g., comma
delimited) into SchemaRDDs. Users will be able to specify delimiter and quotation characters.
