Subject [jira] [Resolved] (SPARK-4475) PySpark failed to initialize if localhost can not be resolved
Date Thu, 26 Feb 2015 21:53:07 GMT

     [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-4475?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel
]

Sean Owen resolved SPARK-4475.
------------------------------
          Resolution: Won't Fix
    Target Version/s:   (was: 1.1.1, 1.2.0, 1.0.3)

I think this could be reopened if there were follow up on the question on when localhost would
not resolve, which isn't a Spark issue per se, and an argument that 127.0.0.1 were almost
always better. There were arguments against that in the PR.
