Can you try this

val lines = FlumeUtils.createStream(ssc,"localhost",9999)
    // Print out the count of events received from this server in each
batch
   lines.count().map(cnt => "Received " + cnt + " flume events. at " +
System.currentTimeMillis() )

lines.forechRDD(_.foreach(println))
