Though it's not fully implemented, the framework for support
of key events is in AWTEventListener.  You may also notice
support for "global listeners" that receive all events
that occur in the canvas, regardless of their target 
node... but in most cases the preferred approach is to
add listeners to the nodes as Thierry suggests.
