I would assume so, although I can't say for sure.  I've run it both in
Websphere and Tomcat and I get about the same performance.

I've even run it outside of the servlet using Sun's JDK 1.3.1_01 and the
performance is roughly the same (taking into account the startup time).  If
I use the -Xint (interpreted mode only), it runs much, much slower, so it
would seem like the jit is normally on.
