Subject getURL and UFT-8
Date Fri, 11 Nov 2005 19:55:48 GMT

i am testing getURL/XMLHttpRequest in Squiggle, Firefox and ASV and i
run into a problem with UTF-8-encoded files

in Firefox and AS anything works fine if all involved files are UFT-8
(the loading and the loaded one). this is the expected way i guess.
Batik Squiggle does it the other way round, it doesn't display UFT-8
data right in UFT-8 files whereas ASCII data loaded in UFT-8 is okay.

i have set up a test file at <http://svg.carto.net/temp/req5.svg> the
called files have the same content but different encodings:
<http://svg.carto.net/temp/req_utf8.svg> and

is there a way to make Batik Squiggle react as the other two ones?
