You can use the SVG-specific JZip jar (which I got from
http://home.deds.nl/~svg/en/jzip.htm) to make svgz FROM svg, but I don't
know if you can use it for svgz TO svg.  (Maybe you can check out the
full JZip projects at sourceforge which might be compatible, but I've
not looking into this myself.)  The compression format is essentially
gzip, so you can just use gzip to decompress (when doing this I've had
to rename the file first, from abc.svgz to abc.svg.gz so that gzip will
recognize it).  The preferred way to compress is with the JZip jar
though, I believe.

hi there,

 

i have a *.svgz file and i want to draw on this file in a jsvgcanvas.
but i need to convert it "back" into a svg to append dynamically new
childnodes..

 

does anybody know if or how that goes?
