Subject Problem with vertical align of a list-item-label
Date Mon, 08 Feb 2010 16:41:27 GMT

I've been trying to vertically align an unordered lists adornment. The font I'm using is Arial
and am using UTF-8 entity "25a1" for the unordered list adornment. Since its initial vertical
alignment is too low, I've been trying to bring it up by aligning it in the "middle". I've
had no luck with this. Below is some sample code of my output. I've used the code below with
wrapper and no wrapper. When there is no wrapper the @s then are nodes of inline. The @s and
their values are the same when I do this. I've also tried using @baseline-shift and using
various values such as 150% (just to see here it lands and modifying from there) and even
super to no avail.

Any help will be appreciated.

<fo:list-item margin-top="7pt" margin-bottom="7pt">
  <fo:list-item-label end-indent="label-end()">
    <fo:block margin-left="-0.2in">
        <fo:wrapper font-size="10pt" vertical-align="middle">□</fo:wrapper>
  <fo:list-item-body margin-left="0.0in" start-indent="body-start()">
    <fo:block>Axle beam</fo:block>
